An LTI 1.3 Integration for Canvas, Brightspace, and Moodle

You-Attend is now in the Brightspace app catalog

Any D2L Brightspace administrator can install You-Attend directly from Manage Extensibility. No support ticket, no configuration call, no keys to exchange — install it and start a 45-day trial the same afternoon.

Self-serve install, from inside Brightspace

Setting You-Attend up used to mean trading LTI keys and service endpoints with us by email. It now installs from the D2L app catalog like any other Brightspace extension: Brightspace and You-Attend register with each other automatically, and the tool appears in your courses ready to use.

Finding and installing You-Attend

Nine clicks, from the Brightspace admin home. You will need administrator rights on your Brightspace instance.

  1. Click Admin Tools — the gear icon.
  2. Click the All tab.
  3. Click Manage Extensibility.
  4. Click the Apps tab, if you are not already on it.
  5. Click the Find Apps button.
  6. Search for You-Attend.
  7. Click the You-Attend product.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Click Review and Install.

That is the whole of it. You-Attend is then available to add to your courses, and your 45-day trial begins.

Already using You-Attend? Please talk to us first.

If your institution already has You-Attend installed, do not install it again from the app catalog. A second registration for a Brightspace instance we already know about is held for approval, and your users can be locked out until that approval goes through. Email support@you-attend.com before you change anything and we will sort out the right path for your instance.

What the trial includes

Everything. The trial is the full product, not a reduced edition.

The attendance grid

Mark a whole class at once or student by student, with your own attendance codes, meeting days and weighting.

The Toolbox

QR check-in, quizzes, polls, word searches and crosswords — in-class activities that take the register while students take part.

Compliance reporting

Last Date of Attendance and pass/fail roster reporting, for Title IV and R2T4 obligations.

After 45 days

The trial runs for 45 days from installation. At the end of it, access closes until a licence is in place — so if You-Attend is working for you, talk to us before the 45 days are up and we will keep it running without interruption. Your attendance data stays where it is throughout.

Questions before you install?

We are happy to walk an administrator through it, or to talk about what You-Attend does before you commit a trial to it.
